The Graveyard

Everyone dies eventually. Or not.

The rules are complicated.

Here we have the super important NPCs and player characters that have passed to the other side, or turned undead, or unmade.

Once again the rules are complicated.

If they get resurrected they stay on here until they end up dead again and then it is updated. Below is a description about them, what cool items they had, how they died, and occasionally something important about them that effects the world that the player characters didn’t know.

ALSO!!!!!

This is updated as new episodes go up so if you don’t want to know who lives and who dies then consider this a spoiler warning!

Listen first!

I don’t need the hate mail.

And after that warning…. Here is the info!

Mr. Mardston

Played by Joe. An Outlaw Ranger Human that had a case of diarrhea after a bank heist before being recruited by Ben Franklin. Died during Part 5 of the 4th of July episode in 2019. Had a pair of special magic pistols called “Old Hickory” imbued with the soul of a mighty president of a country on tim’s continent. They had unlimited ammo and caused a duel to the death against a target that the user yelled “DUEL!” against. While in “duel” the target and the caster can only attack each other but the caster has advantage with attack rolls. The weapon is sentient and is CN (but I would place as LE per Hamilton depictions, but it wasn’t my story - Sean). The players get teleported out before they can pick up these lost magic weapons. This means they may show up again somewhere in the world again as Ben Franklin did not take them back. While they are weaker than most clockwork pistols, doing 2d6 damage total after both guns are fired, the unlimited ammo makes up for this fact. (Retcon: They are updated to do 2d6 EACH per the 2020 4th of July Special.)

Last words: “You’re no better than a tyrannous fuck’n ruler, you ‘sumina’ bitch!”

Mr Mardston is survived by his many many bastard children, including a half-orc son. He was not a good man and an even worse father.

Brutus Maximus III the Dog

A Mastiff Dog. He was a good boy that loyally followed the Halfling Monk Skunk in the Romancing The Dungeon Crossover Special. In the final few moments before victory, Wink threw a clockwork pipebomb that exploded and injured most of the RTD team. However, due to the rules of perma-kill, Brutus did not make it and could not be brought back. Some say that his spirit wonders the world to help out those that need a good boy’s help. Played by Dee from Romancing the Dungeon. Pay your respects to the poor puppy by clicking on the artwork made by Dee himself and checking out their twitter!

Last words: Pretty sure it was a bark or something. Couldn’t tell over the blast.

Brutus Maximus III the Dog is survived by his best friend in the world Skunk. The good boy’s spirit is said to watch over the town to protect it.

Jimmy of Oreathal

Played by Kumar. A Rogue Half-Elf that had paid a large sum of money to get out of jail. He managed to survive 2 previous 4th of July episodes. Died during Part 4 of the 4th of July episode in 2022 bit to death by a fungal dragon. Had a pen that signed the declaration of independence that could be charged by others signing a magic paper. It is presumed lost along with his body under the wreckage of the pub that collapsed around them after the Ring-Wyrm attack.

Last words: “I should have stolen all the sports memorabilia…”

Jimmy of Oreathal is survived by his memorabilia only as he had no known family.
